Which county should I file for divorce if I have moved?

When filing for divorce in California, you need to live in the county you file for 3 months and the state for at least 6 months. If you don’t meet these requirements for the county that you live in, you can file for legal separation in the past county you lived in, and then later file an amended petition in your current county once you meet the residency requirements.
